How to defeat False Dragon Dodonzo in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet?
If you’ve defeated the previous four titan Pokemon, then False Dragon Dodonzo shouldn’t be that difficult. You can find its lair by heading towards the north of Medali. After that, explore Casseroya Lake and reach the island towards the east. Now, to start the battle, you will have to interact with a slightly bigger-sized Tatsugiri(near the northeast side), a small fish-like pokemon. Anyways, this goes without saying that you need to level up your Pokemon before the fight to stand a chance against the Titan pokemon.
Also, make sure to stock up on healing items as you’ll need plenty of them to survive the three phases that the battle is going to take place in. Unlike other titan pokemon, you will need pokemon of level 55 or more in your party to beat this Titan. The Dragon-type attacks of Dodonzo pack quite a punch and Mimikyu is the perfect ghost/fairy-type pokemon to counter it. This is because Mimikyu is immune to Dragon-type moves. You’ll have to use strong ghost/fairy attacks on the Titan, and you will be able to defeat it. Some other pokemon are also effective against it, and we have listed them below-
- Meowscarada
- Gyarados
- Azumarill
Once you defeated Dodonzo and Tatsugiri for good, you’ll unlock the Climb mode for your Koraidon/Miraidon mount. Anyways, if you wish to capture this pokemon, you will have to visit the area where the first encounter took place again. This is because you cannot catch Titan pokemon on the first encounter. So, once you reach the area, you will find Tatsugiri, so start the battle and make sure to bring enough Greatballs/Ultraballs to capture it.
