From Pokemon Uranium to Pokemon Emerald Rouge, there’s a plethora of great Pokemon fan games to enjoy. Among these also happens to be Schrroms’s Pokemon Infinite Fusion. Released back in 2015, the game has garnered a pretty big and loyal following over the years. And while the game is certainly fun, there are certain issues with it that many want to be resolved. Of which a major one happens to be the script error 003.
Now, we don’t really know what’s the cause behind this error. For some, it could be due to PIF not being updated to the latest version, while for others, the cause could be related to plugins. Regardless of what the cause is, this guide here will help you fix this issue. So, let’s go ahead and find out how you can resolve this issue.
Pokemon Infinite Fusion script error 003: How to fix it?
Since there’s no official fix for this issue, players will have to try the following workarounds:
Randomize trainers –
If you are constantly encountering this error during your first encounter with Team Rocket, we suggest that you head back to any Pokemon Center and randomize the trainers. In case this doesn’t help, switch to a different workaround. Additionally, you can also try resetting gym trainers to see if that helps.
Turn off Download Sprites –
A somewhat strange fix for this issue seems to be turning off the Download Sprites option in the in-game settings. Now, we don’t know if this will work for you, but try it once. Just launch the game, select Options, and scroll down until you find the Download Sprites option. Once found, turn it off, scroll down till the end, and select Confirm. Now, load your save and see if the issue continues.
Update the game –
If you happen to be playing an older version of the game, we highly recommend that you switch to the latest version 6.0. Just head to this webpage here, and get the installer from there. Once you have installed version 6.0 of Pokemon Infinite Fusion, launch the game, and if you once again encounter script error 003, try the next method.
Get Joiplay and RPG Maker plugins –
For mobile players, it’s recommended to get both the JoiPlay and RPG Maker plugins from the official Patreon. As such, we suggest you head to the Patreon page of Joiplay and download the latest versions of the previously mentioned items. Next, open JoiPlay and long-tap on the PIF icon. Now select Edit > Type. Choose RPG Maker (mkxp-z) and click on Save.
Redownload –
In case none of the previously mentioned workarounds are of help, we recommend that you reinstall the game. Simply delete or uninstall the game from your device, then put it on a new download, and once the download is complete, install it.
