From Pokemon Uranium to Pokemon Unbound, there’s a gargantuan amount of Pokemon fan games out there. And among these, Pokemon Infinite Fusion by Schrroms happens to be quite a popular one. Released back in 2013, the game allows players to fuse two Pokemon to create a new one. A very unique and fun idea, to be honest. However, there are certain issues with the game that have become a constant source of frustration. Chief among them happens to be the game not recognizing controllers at all.
While the game can be played with M&K and touch, some prefer simply playing with controllers for one reason or another. But this issue isn’t making it easy to play with this particular input method. Now, the cause here could be anything. For some, it might be the controller being behind updates, while for others, it could be due to wireless issues. Basically, it’s hard to find a root cause for such an issue since it’s so common. So, can this issue be fixed? Well, let’s go ahead and find out!
Pokemon Infinite Fusion not recognizing controller: How to fix it?
Since there’s no official fix for this issue, players will have to try the following workarounds:
Use JoyToKey –
Players should use JoyToKey to connect their controllers. Just head to this webpage, download either the installer or zip file, and then install JoyToKey. It’s used by many players to use their controllers so we recommend trying it out.
Add the game to Steam –
Besides JoyToKey, you can also use Steam for connecting controllers. All you need to do is open Steam, switch to the Games tab, and click on Add a Game to My Library. Next, select Browse and find the game’s exe. Once found, select it and click on Add Selected Program. Now, open Settings and switch to the Controller tab. From there, click on the General Controller Settings button and checkmark the option for whatever controller you are using.
Connect using USB –
If you are unable to connect your controllers wirelessly, we suggest that you connect using USB. This seems to have worked for some players, so give it a try. If it doesn’t help, switch to another workaround.
Update controller –
You should always make sure that your controller is updated to the latest version. An out-of-date controller can cause issues like this one, so check if there’s an update available. If there’s one, update it, and then try connecting to the game.
Reinstall –
If nothing else works, players can try the reinstallation method. Essentially, you need to uninstall the game and then start a new download. After the download is complete, install it, and then see if the game recognizes your controller.
