Most of you must know that Tyrogue can evolve into either into Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, or Hitmontop. But, it might be a surprise for you that can actually choose Tyrogue to evolve into any of three.
Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan have been part of the Pokemon Go since the beginning. Tyrogue and Hitmontop were introduced in generation 2. In the introduction of the Johto region, we saw a number of pre-evolutions of Pokemon, including Tyrogue. So, you can evolve the Scuffle Pokemon into any of these three. But it won’t be random. It all depends on which stats of Tyrogue is highest.
Species in the game have three different types of stats -attack, defense, and stamina, and the based on these stats Tyrogue will evolve into the following:
- Attack highest – Hitmonlee
- Defense highest – Hitmonchan
- Stamina highest – Hitmontop
If a tie happens between the stats, then evolution will be random.
Which of the best between Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, and Hitmontop?
First of all, they’re not a good gym defender or good counter raid options as none among three have much effective moveset.
Hitmonlee
Hitmonlee is good for PVP format when it comes to Go Battle League.
Hitmontop
Hitmontop 4 has a great fast move in counter. It deals four damage per turn and has excellent energy generation. It also has a decent charge attack in close combat and stone edge. It has more capable moves, but it still not considered as the top among the three.
Hitmonchan
Himonchan is another option you can consider for evolving. It can use various types as charge moves. It has fire punch, ice punch, and thunder punch, and all have the same damage energy generation of 55 and 40, respectively. Its power-up punch makes it a consideration for top among three.
