Niantic’s Pokemon Go continues to be the best augmented reality game out there, even after so many years since its release in 2016. The game continues to receive active support from the developers with regular content drops. While the hype around the game has died down quite a bit, it is still one of the most popular mobile games today. So much so that it has generated over $4 billion in lifetime revenue as of 2023. However, it isn’t without its fair share of issues. In fact, a lot of players have been complaining about an issue where they simply get stuck on the party challenge screen.
This is a pretty common issue with the game and has affected players in the past with previous raids. The issue is that when using Party Play, the game just freezes and then players are unable to play at all. What’s the cause behind this issue? Well, we don’t really know. However, this doesn’t mean that we can just ignore this issue. The Primal Kyogre Raid is coming soon and getting this issue during it isn’t going to be ideal at all. So, is there a fix for this? Well, let’s go ahead and find out.
Pokemon Go stuck on the party challenge screen: How to fix it?
Since there’s no official fix for this issue right now, you will have to make do with the following workarounds. So, try these and see if the workarounds below are of help.
Wait for the party to expire –
Well, currently, one of the most useful methods to circumvent this issue seems to be to simply wait for the party to expire. Once the party is invalid, you will be able to get out of the bugged screen and continue on with the game. However, if you don’t want to wait for an hour, then the next workaround will be of help.
Force close your current party –
For this workaround, you will have to force close your current party in order to get out of the bugged screen. Basically, what you need to do is move away from the host. Keep moving until you get a message on the screen that you are far away from the host’s location. You will then be kicked out and the party will end. However, if you happen to be the host, then we suggest that you ask your party member to leave.
Well, these two are the only effective workarounds for this issue. There are, of course, basic methods like restarting the app and mobile or reinstalling, but none of those are of any help, as reported by the players. You can still try them if you want but be ready for major disappointment.
