Is Buzzwole good in Pokemon Go?

Is Buzzwole good in Pokemon Go?

2024 has arrived and Pokemon Go continues to not only survive but thrive too. Released in 2016, Niantic has been constantly delivering new content for Pokemon Go and so far we have seen over 800+ Pokemon added to the game. With so many Pokemon to catch and raise, it can be quite confusing for new players to decide whether to invest in a certain Pokemon or not. And this guide here will help you know if it’s a good idea to raise and use Buzzwole in Pokemon Go.

With over 800+ Pokemon in the game, you will find that there are a lot that are better left unraised and use the resources to raise a powerful one to get the best return on investment. So, is Buzzwole one such Pokemon? Or is it actually good? Well, continue reading to find out!

Is Buzzwole good in Pokemon Go?

Is Buzzwole good in Pokemon Go?

For the uninitiated, Buzzwole happens to be a Bug and Fighting-type Pokemon and was originally introduced in Generation VII, i.e., Pokemon Sun and Moon. Now, when it comes to its stats in Pokemon Go, Buzzwole has the following:

  • Max CP: 3912
  • Attack (ATK): 236
  • Stamina (STA): 216
  • Defense (DEF): 196

Buzzwole gets weather-boosted during Rainy and Cloudy weather, so be ready during those times. If you are familiar with Pokemon Sun and Moon, you would know that Buzzwole has no evolutions. As for players expecting to catch a shiny Buzzwole in Pokemon Go, you will need to wait a while since there’s no Shiny Buzzwole in the game right now.

Following are the types Buzzwole is weak and resistant to:

Weak to:
  • Flying: 256%
  • Psychic: 160%
  • Fairy: 160%
  • Fire: 160%
Resistant to:
  • Ground: 62.5%
  • Grass: 62.5%
  • Fighting: 62.5%
  • Dark: 62.5%
  • Bug: 62.5%

When it comes to its moves, Buzzwole has the following:

Fast Moves
  • Counter [Fighting]
  • Poison Jab [Poison]
Charge Moves
  • Power-Up Punch [Fighting]
  • Fell Stinger [Bug]
  • Lunge [Bug]
  • Superpower [Fighting]

Now that you are somewhat knowledgeable about Buzzwole, let’s discuss how powerful or good this Pokemon is in-game.

The Good, The Bad, and The Mediocre

Buzzwole is an interesting Pokemon. Using Counter and Superpower movesets for PvE is quite good and you will seldom regret using it. However, it’s PvP where Buzzwole will be seeing most of its action. While there are other Bug and Fighting-type Pokemon in the game, Buzzwole doesn’t falter that much compared to them. It’s not the best, but it’s also not the worst. Counter and Lunge or Superpower, is a good move for PvP, but know that it isn’t going to be a smooth ride. Compared to Great League and Master League, the best area to use Buzzwole is in Ultra League, where it shines brightly due to moves like Lunge. All in all, Buzzwole sits comfortably on the good side of our The Good, The Bad, and the Mediocre scale.

Well, that’s all the information we have on this. Additionally, if you also want to know whether Mega Altaria is good in Pokemon Go, take a look at this guide. And for more such content, keep following DigiStatement. Also read: What is a critical catch in Pokemon Go & what are its chances?
