While the hype and following around Niantic’s Pokemon Go have somewhat died down, the game still continues to be the best AR (Augmented Reality) game out there. Because of that, the Pokemon Company has released a number of apps and devices that work in tandem. Pokemon Go Plus Plus (+) is one such device. Released last year, it’s a device that can connect to both Pokemon Go and Pokemon Sleep. Doing so allows you to automatically throw Poke Balls, catch Pokemon, and even spin PokeStops. That’s not all, though. Go Plus can even help you track your sleep thanks to its sleep mode. Unfortunately, it looks like some users are having issues with the sleep mode, as it doesn’t appear to be working properly.
There can be a number of causes behind this issue. For some, it could simply be that there’s no more charge left in the device, while for others, the culprit could be the user not placing the device correctly. Regardless of what the cause here is, this issue needs to be resolved. So, let’s go ahead and find out all possible workarounds for it.
Pokemon Go Plus Plus sleep mode not working: How to fix it?
The following workarounds will help you in dealing with this issue. Try these and see which ones are of help to you.
Check some basic stuff –
The very first thing that we recommend players do is check some basic stuff. Start with checking the device’s battery and make sure it isn’t drained completely. Furthermore, we also recommend that you check it for any hardware damage. If the battery’s drained, simply charge it. And if everything’s alright with your Pokemon Go Plus Plus, then we suggest you switch to another workaround.
Put Pokemon Go Plus + on a flat surface –
In order for your Pokemon Go Plus + to work properly, you need to make sure that it’s on a flat surface. Otherwise, it will not be able to start the sleep mode at all. Now, once you have put the device on a flat surface, simply press and hold the main button until you see its color change from red to blue. And the most important of all: don’t pick up the device after it’s in sleep mode.
Turn off Bluetooth –
You can also turn off Bluetooth on your phone if the device refuses to enter sleep mode. This is what some players did to bypass this issue, so give it a try. And if it doesn’t work, you can check out another potential fix.
Check if Pokemon Go Plus + is connected to another phone –
It’s also possible to encounter this issue when the device is connected to another phone. As such, we highly encourage you to check if that’s true. If it is, just disconnect it and connect it back to your phone. And if it isn’t, try another fix.
Disconnect Pokemon Go –
Ensure that Pokemon Go is disconnected from your Pokemon Go Plus Plus. This needs to be done as it allows the device to enter sleep mode. So, do this, and let’s hope the issue gets fixed. Do the same with Pokemon Sleep, too.
Place Pokemon Go Plus Plus on your bed –
It’s very important to put Pokemon Go Plus Plus on your bed rather than in other places. This is because the device will stop sleep tracking if it doesn’t detect motion. So, do this and from now on, Pokemon Go Plus Plus should register your sleep correctly and work as intended.
Reset –
If you are still experiencing issues, then we recommend that you reset the device. This can be done by pressing and holding the button on the back right above where The Pokemon Company is written. Keep holding the button until you feel a second vibration. Once that happens, the Pokemon Go Plus Plus will be reset, and then you should re-pair it to your phone.
Well, that’s all the workarounds we have for this. You can also take a quick look here if you want to know how to get the Dozing Sleep type in Pokemon Sleep. And for more such guides, keep following DigiStatement. Also read: How to connect Pokemon Go Plus+ to Pokemon Sleep?
