Coronavirus pandemic has halted the whole world. The outbreak has taken over almost all the nations on the planet. It has put many countries to lockdown, & has claimed so many precious lives.
COVID-19 pandemic has also affected many major sporting events including Wimbledon & Olympics. Many gaming & tech events also got postponed due to this unprecedented outbreak.
Coming to Pokemon Go, as the game is based on the concept of going outside & catching Pokemon has also got affected with this outbreak. As players can’t leave their homes freely, Niantic has made a few changes to the game in the wake of this disease. The distance from which you can interact with Gyms has been temporarily doubled. The company has also introduced 1 Pokcoin bundle & is also giving free rewards through a means of a promo code.
Coming to the topic, a few new changes are coming to the game which will further help players to play the game easily from home. Pokeminers, one of the most prominent data miners of Pokemon Go, has gone through the game files of update 0.171.3 and has revealed the upcoming features & content. So looks like the way they will introduce remote raids is via a special pass separate from the regular battle pass. This allows them to control when this feature is enabled or not basically.

You can buy the remote passes from the shop, and the game will tell you if you are too far away to be able to use regular passes. You can also only carry a certain amount of remote raid passes at a time.
