Philips Smart TV doesn’t have Disney Plus (+) app – When is it coming?

Technology has developed a lot in the last few decades. From the size of a room, computers are now of our palm-size, foldable and light-weight. Every technology around us is becoming better every day. We have smartphones, smartwatches, smart cars, smart home appliances, and what not! As humans are becoming smart, the things around them are evolving too and TVs aren’t an exception. The Smart TVs come with in-built wifi that allows you to stream digital content, giving you the freedom to watch movies or web series directly on your TV with the help of a streaming application. Some of the popular streaming applications are Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, Hulu, and many more.

When I think of smart TVs the first brand that comes to my mind is Philips. Philips is a very old and trusted brand and the Smart TVs by Philips come with a good design, clear picture quality, and several connectivity options to make devices easy to use. But, Philips TVs do not include Disney+ Hotstar. However, we do get Netflix and Amazon Prime Video out of the box. But, without Disney+ Hotstar, I can not enjoy my favorite Marvel shows or newly releasing Bollywood movies, that are exclusive to Disney+ Hotstar app.

But, now as Disney Plus has become a popular service, many Phillips models have already started receiving the Disney Plus app. If your model has not received Disney Plus support yet, you have to wait for Philips to release the app for your model.

Till then, you can use Amazon Firestick, Chromecast, or an Android Box ( Like Mi Box ) to install the Disney Plus app on your TV and enjoy your favorite shows.

We are continuously tracking reports related to Philips Smart TV update & will update you with more information whenever it arrives, so stay tuned! Follow our website to get technology updates as soon as we publish them.
