The official release of Palia inches closer with each passing day. The cozy-sim MMO is now in its open beta phase, with the developers promising no progress wipe. Developed by Los Angeles-based Singularity 6 Corporation, Palia happens to be the debut title of the studio, and from the looks of it, they have done an amazing job at developing the game. Palia is beaming with personality, and despite being in open beta, players already perform a plethora of activities ranging from bug-catching to fishing. Right now, the game is only available for the Windows platform, but Singularity 6 Corporation has announced plans for a Nintendo Switch release too. The community’s reception of the open beta has been quite positive; however, there has been criticism of the cash shop and the general implementation of microtransactions. The devs are eyeing a Q4 release window for Palia, so a lot is to be done over its open beta period. As for players, some have been having a hard time with certain things in the game. Take catching the Prism Trout as an example.
There are three main staples of the cozy/farm-sim genre: Cooking, Farming, and Fishing. No matter what game you are playing, you will always find these three core in-game mechanics. And Palia is no different. The game gives its players lots of choices, with fishing being one of them. If some players don’t like farming, they can instead focus on fishing. For players who are unable to get the Prism Trout, here’s a guide that will help you with that exactly.
Palia Prism Trout: How to get, find, & catch
The Prism Trout is just one of the many available fish that players can catch in the game. It is an uncommon rarity fish, so you will have less trouble catching it. The in-game description of the Prism Trout goes like this: A gorgeous trout that shines like rainbows in the sunlight. Found in Kilima Lake using worms in the morning and day.
The aforementioned description pretty much gives you all the information you need to find the Prism Trout in Palia. So, simply head to Kilima Lake, located in Kilima Village. Since the description mentions morning and day, you should go during those hours and avoid nighttime when fishing to catch this fish. Some players suggest going to Fisherman’s Lagoon during the daytime to catch this fish. Try doing so and see if you are able to get one.
For catching the Prism Trout, a regular worm as bait is sufficient. So, if you were thinking about using Glow Worms, it’s better to abandon that and save it for catching rarer fish in the game. The base variant of the Prism Trout sells for about 60 Gold, while the quality version will net you 90 Gold in total. Additionally, players will also need to catch and gift the Prism Trout to Einar to increase their friendship level with this NPC.
