Palia, the cozy-sim MMO by Singularity 6 Corporation, has been slowly gaining momentum ever since its open beta phase started on August 10, 2023. The game saw its first open beta update recently, which introduced pets and new quests along with a plethora of gameplay fixes. And now, starting August 29th, Palia players will witness the first in-game event called Maji Market, which will last for about a month. All in all, everything has been going smoothly so far. However, no game is perfect, and Palia does suffer from some unfortunate issues like the error code 400. And recently, a new one has appeared. It’s the “ground texture not loading” issue.
As the name itself suggests, when this particular bug makes its appearance, the ground texture of the game simply doesn’t load, making the in-game world broken. As you can guess, due to this bug, players start free-falling as there is no ground to stand on. This is a very annoying issue that needs to be addressed as soon as possible. So, does a fix for the “ground texture not loading” issue exist? Well, let’s find out!
Palia Ground Texture Not Loading Issue: Is there any fix yet
As of now, there is no official fix for this particular issue. As such, players will have to make do with the following potential workarounds. We suggest you try them out one by one and see if any of them are of help to you.
Type in /unstuck in the chatbox –
The best workaround for this issue is to type the “/unstuck” command right into the in-game chatbox. Doing so will most likely fix the issue. However, if you are still experiencing problems, try following the next workaround.
Restart the game –
Besides the previous workaround, the next best thing would be to restart the game. While we aren’t totally sure if this will guarantee the end of the issue, we still urge you to try out this workaround. Many issues can be fixed this way, and the same might be the case here.
Update Palia –
Since Palia is in open beta, it’s evident that the game is bound to receive numerous updates and hotfixes. So far, the devs have made available one update, and if you haven’t installed it, we suggest you do so ASAP.
Lower in-game graphics settings –
A reason for this issue could be that you are trying to play the game on high graphics settings. Now, if it is indeed true, bring it down a notch, and then check whether the issue occurs.
Redownload –
Try this workaround if none of the aforementioned methods work. Save your progress, and then delete or uninstall the entire game from your system. Following that, start a redownload, and when it’s installed, launch the game. Also, consider installing the game on a different drive, preferably an SSD.
That said, we hope that with the mentioned workarounds, you are able to fix this “groundbreaking” issue in Palia. For more such interesting guides, keep visiting DigiStatement daily. Also, read: Palia SpeedyGro Fertilizer: How to get & unlock
