OnePlus is one of the most user-friendly brands in the world. Firstly, the whole concept of launching a Community app to interact with OnePlus users is splendid. Another wonderful, interactive session conducted by OnePlus is IDEAS, a set of rounds conducted by the developers where users can pitch in their ideas and concepts as changes in the next updates related to UI.

IDEAS 2.0 final round has come to an end. A total of 7 ideas have been liked and highlighted on the OnePlus forum. You can check out these amazing ideas below-

  • Fingerprint Customization

A user named Phantom_Pouet put forward the idea of customizable fingerprint style, where instead of just a blue ring/ default style, users could also play around with chosen colors or patterns, matching with the wallpaper.

OnePlus IDEAS

  • Notification Ring

Xiaomi are phones are widely popular for the dedicated notification LED displayer. A user with the name @JoshuaPhilip has recommended that OnePlus must come up with a way to display notifications even without the need to check out the display of the OnePlus device. The users have suggested that developers can come up with a way to showcase notifications by an LED ring around the front camera.

OnePlus IDEAS

  • Improved Image Processing

A lot of users install GCam on OnePlus device despite spending over $450. So one of the users, @Abhishek654 has requested for an improved application or system update for better image processing so that users don’t have to rely on apps like GCam, and not bother about degrading in quality and color projection.

OnePlus IDEAS

  • Animation during accessory pairing and connecting

As the title conveys, a user with the ID @Orea. has requested for a better animation when connecting or pairing to another device, like the OnePlus Z wireless buds that the user owns. As a result, the animation could be more interesting and have a personal touch as well as visually much appealing.

OnePlus IDEAS

  • Navigation Bar Customization

Almost every Android skin comes with the feature to customize the navigation bar, mainly changing the position of the back button and the recent apps button. Here are some ideas suggested by @Yash Pratap Singh on what all option OnePlus users must get to customize the navigation bar-

  1. Height
  2. Color
  3. Opacity of the bar
  4. Icons

OnePlus IDEAS

  • Replace the Google Dialer to OnePlus dialer

Since the release of OnePlus NORD and OnePlus 8 series, OnePlus has replaced the default OnePlus dialer with Google dialer. A lot of people have been wanting the OnePlus dialer back, mainly for the call recording feature, including @Abhishek654.

OnePlus IDEAS

  • Notification Count on Icons (App Badges)

Sometimes, users can feel the need to know very specifically from which app they’ve received a particular notification and the number of notifications from the same. The display of notifications in Oxygen OS is not that particular. So @manasarora98 has requested a better notifications display with the count to easily prioritize and choose whether it’s urgent or not.

OnePlus IDEAS

The top 7 are decided based on the number of likes these suggestions from each user receive. So as the final round is completed, the next phase is where the developers decide how this feedback could be implemented in the upcoming UI update. The users will also receive an official word about the ideas.
