And in July, One Plus 8 series received the Android 11 beta 2 update. The company is expected to launch Oxygen 11 at the end of the Android 11 beta.
The lesser-known equivalent of OxygenOS is HydrogenOS in China. It has all the bells and whistles of OxygenOS but it does not include Google Play Services. While Google does have a presence in China, its Play Services have been blocked since 2014.
Yesterday, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau (also known as Liu Zuohu) confirmed that HydrogenOS 11 will be coming to China. In an emotional post on Weibo, he thanked the OnePlus community for standing by them and promised to continue improving HydrogenOS.
