If you have roamed the overworld of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, you must have come across the vicious ghostly creatures called Will-o-The-Wisps. Well, these are glowing creatures that are found in large numbers in Cyrodiil and interestingly, they are immune to damage from standard/regular weapons. While they can damage you, you can’t do the same if you don’t have the right weapons equipped. Since you are reading this guide, you might have had a frustrating time dealing with them. However, that’s going to change as we have shared all the details you will need to know about how to kill Will-o-The-Wisp in Oblivion Remastered.
A fair fight in Oblivion Remastered almost always goes your way if you know how to grab the opportunity to deal damage to the enemies. However, not every fight is fair, and your encounters with Will-o-The-Wisps are no exceptions. They are quite fast and within range, they can absorb your health and mana and even become invisible. If you think that your regular weapons can deal damage to them, get ready to be disappointed. These creatures have special immunities and you will need planning to take them head-on.

While these creatures are immune to damage from regular weapons, the same cannot be said for magic and silver weapons. They are also prone to damage from spells. Here’s a list of all weapons you can use against them:
- Hand-to-Hand (Journeyman, Expert, Master)
- Silver Weapons
- Enchanted Weapons
- Spells
- Daedric Weapons
If your character is a mage, then that’s an added bonus. You can use your enchanted weapons to damage the enemies or use Destruction magic for the same. If you have access to silver weapons, use them to deal damage, but if not, you can use your character’s hand-to-hand skill, provided the skill level is Journeyman or more.
Now, you are ready to fight these creatures but don’t forget to use a detect life spell to know their location. They are only visible when attacking so keep this in mind. With that said, now you know all about how to deal with the Will-o-The-Wisp in Oblivion Remastered.
