February 2024 has been quite a fun month for video games. From Granblue Fantasy: Relink and Persona 3 Reload to Helldivers 2 and Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, this month is turning out to be an amazing one. Another game that recently got added to this list of fun games is Inflexion Games’ open-world PVE survival and crafting title, Nightingale. While you can certainly play the game solo, a lot of players find it fun with friends. And this guide will help you know how you can do that.
There’s a lot to do in Nightingale and you can do all that either solo or with friends. You will be harvesting trees, ores, and other resources; crafting and designing your own estate; exploring a mystical world; and doing all this while dealing with fearsome creatures. Some prefer to do all this solo. At the same time, there are others who like to explore and enjoy everything with friends. Regardless of your choice, it’s always a good idea to know how to play the game with friends. So, let’s go ahead and check out how you can do that.
Nightingale game: How to play with friends
First of all, you need to unlock multiplayer. And to do that, you need to complete the tutorial section of the game. The tutorial consists of three biomes: – Forest, Desert, and Swamp. Once you complete the last quest in the Swamp biome, Puck will ask you to choose a new biome. After choosing the biome of your choice, head to the Swamp Portal and clear the spawned enemies. When you have cleared the wave of enemies, the Portal will open and then you just need to go through it. You will now see the Nightingale logo on your screen and then spawn in a new biome. Congratulations! You have finally unlocked multiplayer.
To start playing with friends, you need to open the menu and switch to the Party & Social tab. Click on the Create Party button. Next, type in the player’s name and invite them. After they accept your invite, click on the Invite to Realm button and wait for them to accept the invite. Once your invite is accepted, you will be able to enjoy Nightingale with friends.
Note that a party can only have six players at any given time. Furthermore, there’s currently no friend list feature in the game, so you will need to make do with the recently added player list. Progression in the game is character-based, so if you make a new one, you will have to start from the beginning. Also, the game allows players to share bases and resources and even complete Realm events and Points of Interest, provided they travel to the same world. If other players build an Estate Cairn in your realm, it will also work as a shared worldspace of sorts.
Well, that’s all the information we have on this. You can also take a quick look here if you want to know whether you can play the game on PC handhelds, macOS, or Linux.
