New World developers have taken a strong stance on various guidelines and offenses which would lead you to be being banned in-game, however, it is quite a common occurrence in games across Steam to be banned without any particular or proper reason, such faulty bans are quite frustrating as at times you aren’t able to get in contact with the development team and are forced to create a new Steam account, it gets even worse when the ban is linked to your system rather than Steam account and hence the only way you could ever get rid of the ban and play again is to either get a completely new system or find a method to appeal the ban. New World developers have made this process easier by providing a guide on where and how you can appeal your ban.
In order to appeal your ban, you’ll have to do it through your Amazon account, granted as the game has been developed by Amazon game Studios.
You will need to create a web ticket, which you can do by first signing in here and then following the steps it prompts.
There are a few guidelines regarding the appeal that you should ensure you have met in order to receive the outcome you wish for. We have listed these guidelines below.
- Explain the problem and your justification in the most detailed manner, this is to help process the issue faster
- Do not send multiple appeals, this does not expedite the process
- You are only able to appeal your ban once
- This process may take a while and you need to be patient, as soon as the New World team receives an appeal, they review it as quickly as possible, and if overturned, the ban on the account is lifted
This is the only way a player can battle a ban set upon them, there is no proper customer service so do ensure that you follow all the guidelines and do not be impatient by sending multiple appeals.
