Fortnite update v12.50 is here, and with the addition of new files, data miners got hold of some information about upcoming content in the game.

According to the leaked files, Fortnite is getting another limited-time mode inspired by Overwatch’s main mode — a push-the-payload challenge.

Fortnite’s new “Uranium” LTM Mode

The leak comes from the prominent leaker Fortory. He revealed that the LTM could be dropped somewhere in the middle of Update 12.50 where players will have the task of escorting or stopping the payload from reaching its destination.

The leaker has also revealed the image of payload designed for the Uranium LTM Mode.

new LTM got added/is in the work, where you got to extract a Payload I guess.

The description of the LTM can be read as :

“Switch roles and choose Tech each round to Escort or Stop the payload. Gain Intel at the end of each round. When Escorting, deliver the payload to its destination! When Defending, stop the payload! Run out the clock to win!”

Another data miner named HyperX revealed that Epic Games had sent an official ahead of the patch downtime that mentioned “Operation: Payload.”

It read: “A new spy mode debuts… use your current spy tech, as well as a new tech in this release, to defend/escort the payload against the other team, which tries to stop you — then switch sides. The mode takes you to different parts of the island.”

Did anyone else get these emails? Looks like they are doing something about snipers and aim assist.. lmk if you got this because I just got it pic.twitter.com/xqOc0dliTK

Epic Games hasn’t confirmed it yet, so take the leaks as a grain of salt until the official announcement.
