Need for Speed (NFS) Unbound Black Screen Error: Is there any fix yet?
Unfortunately, there is no official fix for the Black Screen error in the Need for Speed (NFS) Unbound. Players are highly disappointed with EA’s behavior as the game’s global release date looms over their heads. So in the meantime, you can try some of our methods to resolve the error.
1) Restart the game and your system-
Simply restarting the game can sometimes fix the black screen issue in NFS Unbound. Also, you should reboot your PC as well. This will fix all the bad-boot-related errors that might be preventing the game from running.
2) Run the game in Windowed mode-
An EA community manager suggested that players who are experiencing the black screen issue when playing NFS Unbound should try running the game in Windowed mode. If the game renders well in this screen mode then the issue might be with your system.
3) Check system requirements-
If your PC does not meet the minimum system requirements to run the game, then also you might encounter the black screen error when running NFS Unbound. If you find that your system lacks in the requirements, it is time for an upgrade.
4) Update your GPU drivers-
Outdated GPU drivers can also cause the black screen error when playing NFS Unbound. So, visit NVIDIA’s or AMD’s website and download the latest version of the drivers. Always keep your GPU drivers up to date.
5) Verify the game files-
For folks who got the game from Steam, you can try verifying the game files. This will replace all the old and corrupt game files with new ones. To do this, simply go to Steam> Library. Now, right-click NFS Unbound and then go to Properties. Next, click on the Local Files tab and then click on the Verify integrity of the game files option.
