MultiVersus is an exciting fighting game that brings together iconic characters from various franchises. It offers players an ever-growing roster of characters to choose from and various game modes to keep them engaged and entertained. The game boasts easy-to-learn mechanics, yet it still offers depth and complexity to satisfy the most competitive players. With regular updates and new characters being introduced, MultiVersus provides a thrilling experience for both casual and hardcore gamers alike. With that being said, let us take a look at all the available game modes in MultiVersus.

Fighting games are all about delivering thrilling and dynamic gameplay, and their various game modes play a significant role in achieving this goal. Whether you’re playing offline or online, fighting games typically offer a range of modes to suit different playstyles and preferences. MultiVersus is not very different in this regard. Let us quickly dive into the available modes that MultiVersus has to offer. The game has the conventional 1v1 and 2v2 modes, but apart from this, there are other custom modes as well. We have listed all the modes available in the game below, check them out!

1v1 (Solo)

In this mode, players can engage in online battles against either human opponents or AI-controlled characters. The objective is to knock the opponent out of the ring, with each successful ring-out earning a point. The first player to earn two points is declared the winner of the match.

2v2 (Team)

This game mode allows players to team up with a friend or a random player online to take on opponents. The objective is to knock the opposing team out of the ring a total of four times, with the first team to achieve this goal being declared the winner of the match.

Free for all

This game mode features a Free For All battle, where up to four players compete against each other. The objective is to earn the highest number of points by knocking out opponents and surviving for as long as possible. Each player earns points for each opponent they knock out, as well as for the length of time they stay alive in the match. To win, a player must accumulate the most points before the timer runs out.

The Lab

While waiting for a match, players can access the testing arena called The Lab. This feature allows players to experiment with and hone their skills with various characters, even those that have not yet been unlocked.

Custom Game

Custom Game mode in MultiVersus offers players complete control and flexibility over their matches. Players can customize their matches by selecting the map and game mode, adding bots, and inviting friends to play. They can choose Solo, Team, or Free-For-All modes set the number of ring-outs required to end the match and adjust the duration. Custom Game also allows enabling or disabling hazards, selecting the number of maps, and adding or changing teams in the match. These features provide a high level of flexibility, making Custom Game an excellent choice for players who want complete control over their gameplay experience.
