Monopoly GO Friends Not Showing Up

Scopely Games’ Monopoly GO is a fantastic mobile game for people who enjoy playing board games. Available on Android and iOS devices, Monopoly GO came out in April 2023 and has been widely popular since. However, despite all the positive reviews from the fans, the game does encounter different issues that affect the gaming experience. Of late, one such issue that has been troubling the players is one where they can’t find their friends in the in-game friend list. This is a big problem if you’re trying to join your friends for a Monopoly game. In this article, we will discuss how you can fix the friends not showing up on friends list issue in Monopoly Go. So, continue reading to find out the fixes.

If you enjoy playing games with your friends, then Monopoly GO is a must-try. If your friends aren’t in the game, then you can invite them and add them to your friends list. From there on, whenever you want to start a new game, you can simply invite your friends to join from your in-game friends list. However, the recent error that’s troubling players is that when they’re looking to invite their friends from the friends list, they cannot find them on it. This can be caused by different issues, including server errors and poor connectivity. So, without further ado, let’s check how to fix this issue.

Monopoly GO Friends Not Showing Up on Friends List Issue: How to Fix?

Monopoly GO Friends Not Showing Up

If you want to play the game with your friends, but can’t find their names on the list, try the following fixes and see if they work.

Check your connection

If you can’t find your friends on the Monopoly Go Friend list, it may have been caused by a poor network. You can test your network strength on different online websites. If you don’t have optimum network strength, then wait for a while until it’s back to normal. Or you can switch your network and even use a mobile hotspot. Once done, open the game and check if you can find your friends in-game.

Check the server status

You may also face this issue in Monopoly Go if the game servers aren’t working. If the game servers run into unexpected traffic or if there’s server maintenance scheduled, then you will not be able to access your friends list. You can visit the official website of the game or the official Twitter handle to receive updates related to its server status.

Clear cache files

Clearing the cache of Monopoly Go can prove to be a helpful step if you’re facing the friends not showing up on friends list issue. So, here’s what you need to do:

Android devices

  • Open your phone’s Settings.
  • Go to Apps, and tap on Monopoly GO. If you can’t find the app, then you may have to choose the “See All Apps” option.
  • Navigate to Storage & Cache, and here, click on the Clear Cache option.
  • This would clear the cache files of the game.

iOS devices

On iOS devices, there isn’t any straightforward way to clear the cache files of an application. You can, however, simply uninstall and reinstall the game to clear its cache files.

Update the game

You also have to ensure that you have the latest version of the game running to avoid any existing or potential issues. You can search for updates on the Google Play Store (for Android users) or on the App Store (for iOS users) and install the latest version. Then, launch the game and see if you’re still facing the issue.

Disconnect/Reconnect Account

You can head to the game’s settings menu, and then disconnect the saved Facebook/Google/Apple account in the game, and then connect it again. To do this, head to the Settings tab, and find the Disconnect button on the connected account in the game. Once done, press the Connect option, and enter the correct credentials. Once signed in, check whether the issue persists.

Reinstall the game

If nothing else works, then you can simply try uninstalling and reinstalling the game. This helps replace all the broken files and might solve the friend list issue.

With that said, now you know how you can fix the Monopoly GO friends not showing up on friends list issue. Hopefully, this article will prove to be helpful for you. For more such gaming-related content, keep visiting DigiStatement!
