Minecraft is a massive open-world sandbox video game from the developer studio, Mojang Studios. It is the best-selling video game of all time. The game is also one of the most accessible games around. Likewise, there are many casual and hardcore players in Minecraft. Minecraft is available on a variety of platforms, including Windows PC, Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and others. Here are some workarounds and fixes for Minecraft not working, launching, loading, and starting:Minecraft

For PC:

  • Launching the game with administrator permissions can fix the launch problems. You can do this by locating the Minecraft executable file location >> right-clicking on Minecraft.exe >> clicking on Properties >> going to the Compatibility tab >> checking the box next to “Run this program as an Administrator” >> Finally, click Apply.
  • Updating your PC’s graphics drivers to the latest version available is important. This can also fix the game’s launch problems. Additionally, in case of loading problems after a driver update, you can always roll back to previous versions of the drivers.
  • Mods can sometimes cause loading problems in the game. Therefore, disabling some mods can help in fix the game’s loading problems.
  • Always make sure that your system meets the minimum requirements of the game. Likewise, killing all background running apps can help in running the game without crashes.

For PlayStation:

  • You can power down your console, unplug all cords, and hold the power button down for 30 seconds. Then, let it sit for at least two minutes before reattaching all the cables and powering on your system. This can fix loading problems in Minecraft.
  • Quitting the game and relaunching it can also fix the game’s loading issues. Thus, you can simply quit the game when facing loading problems and relaunch it to see if it resolves the issue.
  • Many of the bugs and issues usually receive patch updates. Thus, keeping the game at the latest version can fix loading issues. Make sure that your version of Minecraft is the latest version available.

For Xbox:

  • You can reboot your Xbox console to resolve the game’s loading issue. Likewise, you can launch the game after a clean boot of your console to see if it fixes the loading problems.
  • The latest patch updates for the game usually bring tons of fixes. Therefore, consistent and frequent updates are important. Many of the bugs and issues usually receive patch updates. Thus, keeping the game on the latest version is the best way to ensure the game’s optimal stability.
  • If all else fails, you can uninstall the game and perform a fresh reinstall. This can fix the loading issues and also, resolve most of the other issues in the game.
