A blast furnace is a must-have item in every Minecraft player’s inventory. However, not every player knows how to make a blast furnace or what materials to use in making them. Let’s show you both.
To unlock and craft a blast furnace, you will need five iron ingots, a furnace, and three pieces of smooth stone. When these have been assembled, pull open your crafting grid and load the top three rows with iron ingots. Add three smooth stones to the bottom of the crafting grid, and place the furnace in the middle of the grid. Now, place the remaining two iron ingots in the leftover grids. It is relatively easy to make as the difficult part is getting possession of the ingredients.
Once you have placed the ingredients with the instructions above, your blast furnace is ready, but you will have to move it to your inventory for safekeeping and storage. When the need to use the blast furnace arises, simply pull it out from the inventory and place fuel on its top. The status of the blast furnace will change to lit with bright red embers. You can then place your food or minerals on it for fast cooking, purification, or smelting.
