Mi 10 picks MIUI 12 update based on Android 10 in China

A new day and a new rollout of MIUI 12. While it has been months since Xiaomi first showed off MIUI 12, they are still busy rolling it out. But you cannot really blame Xiaomi, they make tons of great devices at a ton of different price points. And they sell millions of them. So, we can understand if it takes them a while to get the updates to all the devices out there.

But if you own a Xiaomi smartphone and must have the best of what MIUI has to offer, I know we can get a little impatient. And if you own a Mi 10 in China, looks like you will not have to wait anymore.

Xiaomi launched the Mi 10 in February this year as its attempt to create a space for itself in the high-end segment. The Mi 10 is a certainly a flagship phone on paper, with all the right specs for a 2020 flagship. It has 6.67-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2340. The screen has support for HDR10+ and a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. It can be configured with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. On the back, it has a 108MP quad-camera setup.

Out of the box, it came with MIUI 11 based on Android 10. Now with the release of MIUI 12, users in China will be able to enjoy new features like overhauled visuals and animations, an improved dark mode and better privacy controls. The update V12.0.8.0.QJBCNXM will be pushed through OTA and weighs in around 3.4GB.
