Marvel Rivals: How to change Language?

Starting a new game can be exciting, but there’s nothing like installing it only to find the text and dialogue in a language you don’t understand. Well, this is exactly the problem of some players who recently decided to try out Marvel Rivals. Whether you’re battling with heroes or strategizing your next move, having the game in your preferred language is key. That being said, if you’re wondering how to change the language in Marvel Rivals, we’ve got you covered. After reading this guide, you will be playing Marvel Rivals in the language of your choice in no time.

Talking about languages, Marvel Rivals offers support for 16 languages, including popular options like English, Spanish, French, German, and many others. The texts and the subtitles are available in these 16 languages, while the audio is limited to English, Simplified Chinese, and Japanese. However, the default language setting might not always match your Steam or system language, leading to some initial confusion.

Marvel Rivals How to change Language

Switching the language in Marvel Rivals might seem straightforward, but the option isn’t always easy to find. Some players report that the game launches in a language different from what they expected, even when their Steam device is set to English. All in all, there are many players like yourself, hunting through menus in an unfamiliar language. So, without any further ado, here is how to change language in the game.

How to change Language?

Follow the step-by-step guide to switch between all the available languages.

  • Access the Settings Menu: First of all, launch the game and look for the gear or nut icon, typically located on the main screen. This will open up the settings menu.
  • Display Settings: In the settings, navigate to the display section and start scrolling down.
  • Find Game Language setting: Assuming the text is not in English, you will not be able to read the options. So, to find the Game Language options, keep scrolling slowly till you reach the end of the Display Settings section. Here, just below the V-Sync option, you should see the option for Game Language!
  • Choose Your Preferred Language: Click on this setting and if you have identified it correctly, a dropdown list or menu with 16 supported languages will show up! Now, all you have to do is find the language you prefer.
  • Save and Restart (if needed): After selecting the language, save your changes. In some cases, the game may require a quick restart to apply the new settings fully.

And that’s it! You are now all set to enjoy the game in the language you prefer! Again, keep in mind that if you select options like Simplified Chinese or Japanese, the UI text, subtitle, and even the language will switch up. On the other hand, if you choose any other language, only the subtitle and UI text will change, with the audio still in English/Simplified Chinese or Japanese.

Anyway, we hope this guide made the process simple for you. If it did, be sure to visit DigiStatement regularly for more helpful gaming tips, tricks, and insights. Also, click here to find out how to Disable Crossplay in Marvel Rivals.
