Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is the upcoming addition to the Like a Dragon series, previously known as Yakuza. Developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, Infinite Wealth serves as the direct sequel to 2020’s Yakuza: Like a Dragon and is slated to release next year on January 24, 2024. While that release date is a few months away, Sega did release a special trial/demo version of the game that came with Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. However, it seems like some players are having issues with the trial/demo version. More specifically the “demo not working/crashing” issue.
Well, as the name suggests, players are constantly facing crashes and encountering problems when trying to play the demo version of Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth. Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth demo not working/crashing: Is there any fix yet
Players will have to make do with the following workarounds, as the developers have yet to acknowledge this issue. Try not to skip these unless you have already tried one before.
Purchase Like a Dragon Gaiden –
As we stated earlier, Infinite Wealth’s demo is bonus content that can only be accessed by purchasing Gaiden. So, if you haven’t purchased Gaiden, you will not be able to play the demo of Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth. And so, make the purchase first, and then enjoy the demo.
Set the display/screen mode to borderless –
Some players have found out that putting the game into borderless mode fixes this issue. As such, we suggest you switch the display mode to windowed or borderless fullscreen. If the issue persists, move on to another workaround.
Lower graphics –
Aside from setting the Display mode to borderless/windowed, players were able to circumvent this issue by lowering the in-game graphics a bit. And if you haven’t tried that, we recommend you do so. After you’ve lowered the graphics and resolution, launch the game and see if the issue persists. You can also set the FPS limit to 60 and then try again.
Wait a bit –
When you launch the demo, it’s supposed to close to the desktop and then load. So, don’t panic if you see the demo closing to the desktop. Just wait a bit, and it should eventually load. However, if it’s taking too long to load, there might be some issues.
Finish Like a Dragon Gaiden –
You will not be able to play the demo unless you have finished Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. So, make sure you roll the credits for that game and then only start the demo. Do this, and you will get to play Infinite Wealth soon enough.
