LG&E power outage map

The LG&E power outage map has been upgraded in near time to show the most updated information available related to outages in any area which includes estimated restoration time and the reason of the outage.

You can check the map from here and zoom in to your area for extra information related to a power outage in your area. If you have to report an outage, then you can do it by calling on 502-589-1444 or 800-331-7370. You can inform them by sending a message. You need to type ‘OUTAGE’ and send it to 4LGEKU (454358). Before that, you must ensure that you account is updated with your mobile number.

If there is an electrical outage,

SMS – Send ‘OUTAGE’ to 4LGEKU (454358)

Call –

LG&E : 502-589-1444 or 800-331-7370

If the power comes on and then goes off again, it can happen for many reasons. During inclement weather, trees can sway and make contact with power lines that can cause a brief disruption in your service. But during a longer event, trees can weaken and break and cause more damage to the power lines and that would need crews to come out and make repairs. In other situations, crews will make temporary repairs for restoring the service as quickly as possible But, they will need to disrupt the service again to make the permanent repairs later.

Also, sometimes the service might go out for different reasons like –

  1. Wildlife in the equipment.
  2. Work in the area.
  3. An equipment malfunction.
  4. A severed underground line.
  5. A fire in the area.
  6. Maintenance of the electrical system in the area.
  7. Trees or limbs in the lines.
  8. A motor vehicle accident.
  9. An unknown cause.

Sometimes it might happen that services can get affected by a planned outage in the area so that the crews can perform upgrades and repairs to the service. They make every effort to offer advance notification of any planned outage that can make any impact in your service.
