If you are a League fan and have been playing League of Legends Wild Rift after the Beta release on October 27, then you know it misses the role selection mark. Role selections feature allows you to choose pre-emptively the position you want to play in a match of Wild Rift.
League PC already has that feature allowing players to be comfortable playing roles they are good at. This also makes the team more balanced and all-rounded. One of the few complaints of Wild Rift is the difference in abilities of players in a team and this goes a long way to solve that problem. So Role selection means that if you want to play AD carry then you will get a game where you will be able to play it without hassle.

When asked about if ranked roles will be a possibility in Wild rift, Riot Hideo Hikida swiftly replies to a resounding yes. The ranked role selection will be different than what we know from LoL though. Product lead Kristoffer Touborg will explain the specific details of the product at a later phase. But will ensure that team balance and satisfaction of the players remains to be the priority of the players.
Just to set expectations; we will be talking about the specific design later. We currently haven’t made a call on the shape of this feature in Wild Rift, but we will meet the overall goal of making sure we get you into a role you’re comfortable with
