League of Legends (LoL): Rogue to sign Odoamne and Trymbi for LEC Team

League of Legends (LoL) Rogue LEC New Roster

According to Jacob Wolf (ESPN), Rogue is about to make some big changes to their LEC roster. After an overall disappointing Worlds 2020, the team are expected to sign veteran Odoamne and young prospect Trymbi.

In 2020, Team Rogue has progressed well. After giving a hard time in LEC to the usual European mastodons that are G2 and Fnatic, the young structure qualified for the first time in its history for the Worlds. However, there was no miracle and the third European seed finished last in their group. To turn a corner and continue to progress next year, the leaders want to make changes in the roster. According to ESPN, Andrei “Odoamne” Pascu (top) and Adrian “Trymbi” Trybus (support) are about to enter the dance.

These two arrivals are not yet official, but if they are confirmed, they should push towards the exit the two holders of the current team: Finn “Finn” Wiest and Oskar “Vander” Bogdan. Finn is still under contract until 2022 and then he would have to find a way out to make room for Odoamne. Two solutions are available to him: go back down to the academic team (AGO Rogue) or leave. At 21, it would be a turning point in his career, he who was widely criticized during the Worlds for his lack of consistency. Odoamne, European veteran(H2K, Splyce, Schalke 04), is reputed to be an unsinkable rock in toplane. Very experienced with many playoff campaigns and a semi-final at the Worlds in 2015, he would bring the strength sought to his position by the structure.

Trymbi instead of Vander
Trymbi to kick out Vander?

This experience would be all the more welcome as Vander would have to leave the structure if the recruitment of Trymbi is confirmed. On paper, Snape seems to be losing out. The papa-poule is indeed one of the best European players in his post for years. He is certainly 26 years old, but he still has a year of contract left. With his pedigree, it’s hard to imagine him playing in an academic team … Academic team where Trymbi comes from. He shone there lately by winning the EU Masters at the Summer, but other than that he doesn’t have a lot of credentials.
