Kingdom Come Deliverance II (KCD 2) How to change Language

So, you’ve jumped into Kingdom Come Deliverance II, ready to explore medieval Bohemia, but wait a minute, the game isn’t in your preferred language? Whether you want to switch to English, another supported language, or even adjust subtitles, don’t worry! Changing the language in KCD2 is quick and easy. Here’s how you can do it.

KCD2 offers a variety of language options, but not all of them come with full audio support. English, French, German, Spanish (Spain), Czech, and Japanese have full voiceovers, while other languages like Italian, Korean, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Chinese (Simplified & Traditional), Turkish, Russian, and Ukrainian are limited to interface and subtitles only. If you prefer playing with full immersion in a supported language, you’re in luck, but if your preferred language lacks voice acting, you’ll have to rely on subtitles while keeping the spoken dialogue in another language.

Kingdom Come Deliverance II (KCD 2): How to change Language

Kingdom Come Deliverance II (KCD 2) How to change Language

Changing the language in Kingdom Come Deliverance II (KCD2) varies depending on the platform you’re playing on. Below is a detailed guide on how to switch the game’s language on PC (Steam & Epic Games) and consoles (PS5 & Xbox).

How to Change Language on PC?

  • Steam: Open Steam and navigate to your Library. Right-click on Kingdom Come Deliverance II and select Properties. In the General tab, look for the Language section. Click the drop-down menu and select your preferred language. Steam may prompt you to download additional language files. If so, complete the download before launching the game. Restart the game to apply the new language settings.
  • Epic Games Launcher: Open the Epic Games Launcher and go to your Library. Find Kingdom Come Deliverance II and click on the three dots (…) next to the game title. Select Options. In the Voice Pack section, choose the language you want to install. Download the required files if necessary. Once installed, restart the game to see the changes.

How to Change Language on Consoles (PS5 & Xbox)?

Unlike PC, where language settings can be changed within Steam or Epic Games, KCD2 on consoles automatically matches the system’s language settings. If you want to change the language, you’ll need to adjust your console’s system language. On PS5, go to Settings > System > Language, select your preferred language under Console Language, and restart your console. On Xbox Series X|S, navigate to Settings > System > Language & Location, choose your language and restart. The game will launch in the selected language if supported. However, some languages may be region-locked, so if your preferred option isn’t available, you might need to change your console’s region settings.

That should clear your doubts about the language options and how to change them in Kingdom Come Deliverance II regardless of the platform.
