Is Scorn compatible with Windows 7?
For those who are wondering whether they can play Scorn on Windows 7, the short answer is YES, you can. However, it’s slightly complicated. To make the game support it, you need to install dxvk 1.10.3 version or higher and VKD3D. Also, make sure that your graphics card supports Vulkan and you need to run Scorn in DirectX 11. You need to change it manually as devs have set the game to launch in DX12 by default. After ensuring the above-mentioned prerequisites, you need to set up a few things that we’ve mentioned below.
Copy and paste all the files of dxvk and vkd3d into the directory where Scorn is installed which is basically- C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Scorn\Binaries\Win64, where the Scorn-Win64-Shipping.exe file is stored. After that, head to the Steam Library, select Scorn and right-click on it. Now, click on Properties, and in the General tab, make sure to include -dx11 under Launch Options. Note that these methods are shared by users and not by the development team itself, so they might not work, in some cases.
