This server is among the oldest Minecraft servers in its history which are still running today. This is also one of the four Minecraft servers which were officially partnered with Mojang Studios. It has also witnessed 10,000 concurrent players at any given time.
Minigames are the major feature of this server. These minigames are further divided into categories namely, Classics, Arcade, Champions, Clans, and Holiday minigames. The server also includes heavily modded multiplayer maps which have different objectives.

European Server of Mineplex was shut down in August 2019 having their traffic transferred to the main servers of Mineplex in the US.
