Indiana Jones and the Great Circle How to disableremove Reticle (2)

Are you enjoying Indiana Jones and the Great Circle? It is, no doubt, a very immersive game and the reviews seem to agree with that fact. Now, if you have been annoyed by the reticle, you must be looking to disable/remove it. But how can you do so? Well, that is exactly what we will go over in this guide! So, here is how to disable/remove reticle in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

Players have been asking for an option to disable the reticle, commonly known as crosshair, in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle to improve immersion, as the constant dot in the middle of the screen can feel distracting. However, there doesn’t seem to be an in-game setting to turn it off, leaving some players frustrated. Many are hoping the developers will address this in future updates but till then, you can try the workarounds to disable it manually.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: How to disable/remove Reticle?

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle How to disableremove Reticle

Disabling the reticle requires you to have access to the console commands menu. To access console commands in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, including those for modifying or disabling the crosshair, you’ll first need to install a mod or fix that enables the in-game console. Notably, a mod designed to fix the cutscene FOV also unlocks these commands. Without this mod, trying to use commands like g_overrideCrosshairStyle may result in an “unknown command” error. If you’re facing this issue, make sure you’ve installed the FOV fix mod to enable console functionality.

Steps to Install the FOV Fix Mod

  • Download the FOV Fix mod by clicking here.
  • Extract the contents of the mod file. Next, move the extracted contents to the game folder.
  • If you are not sure about the installation folder, right-click the game in your Steam library and select Properties. Go to the Installed Files tab and click Browse. This should lead you to the game’s installation folder, where you need to move the mod files.
  • After you have moved the file to the game installation folder directory (e.g., XboxGames\Indiana Jones and the Great Circle\Content for Xbox versions), launch the game, and the console commands should now be available.

How to Disable the Crosshair/Reticle

With the FOV fix installed, you should be able to use console commands. To do that, all you have to do is open the in-game console by pressing the designated key (~ or F12, depending on your setup). Now, go on and type the following command: “g_overrideCrosshairStyle 0”. This will disable the crosshair entirely. Press Enter, and the changes should take effect immediately. By combining the FOV fix and console commands, you can tailor the crosshair settings to your preference and enhance your gameplay experience.

More immersion?

If you want to hide the entire HUD in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle for a cleaner, more immersive experience, you can use the console command: “g_showHud 0”. This will remove all on-screen UI elements, including health bars, prompts, and crosshairs. However, since this command disables the entire interface, it might not be practical for regular gameplay.

In the future, we may see more accessible and easy-to-use in-game options, including a hotkey to customize or toggle the HUD and reticle. Until then, the methods we discussed above remain the best available solutions for tweaking these settings. And that is all we have to share on this matter.
