Change FoV Slider in Immortals of Aveum

Accessibility is a key concern for the present-day gaming community. As technology keeps improving, it becomes important that all kinds of players can enjoy all types of games if they so choose. The biggest possible example of prioritizing accessibility for all kinds of players can be found in the ways the developers try to accommodate various in-game options. With rapid camera movements and motion blur in the games, some players tend to suffer from motion sickness. The FoV slider and motion blur toggle are accessibility features included in games to tackle this issue. EA Sports released their latest FPP shooter title, Immortals of Aveum, on August 22, 2023, and players want to know if the game includes a FoV slider. Consider reading this article until the end to find out how to change the FoV in Immortals of Aveum.

Developed by Ascendant Studios and published by Electronic Arts, Immortals of Aveum was recently released on all popular platforms, including PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. This is a first-person shooter game where players shoot magic spells at their enemies to take them down. It all sounds interesting, except for the fact that FPP games can be quite tricky for people who suffer from motion sickness. Staring at the screen while the camera moves or shakes rapidly with motion blur and other graphical effects can trigger nausea and sickness. This is why adjusting the graphics settings in such games is extremely crucial. Exactly for these reasons, the FoV slider comes in handy in such games. But do you get the option to change the FoV in Immortals of Aveum? If yes, then how do you do it? Let’s find out!

How to Change FoV in Immortals of Aveum?

Change FoV Slider in Immortals of Aveum

Before we talk about the FoV slider in Immortals of Aveum, it’s important that we discuss what it actually is. FoV refers to the field of view, which practically means the part of the in-game world that’s visible through the camera at an instance. A high FoV means players will be able to notice more of the virtual world on their screen, while a low FoV means the visible area will be smaller. In FPP games, the default FOV is usually very low, which eventually causes motion sickness, and thus games tend to include a feature called the FoV slider. The FoV slider allows players to adjust the FoV to a level that suits them best. So, does Immortals of Aveum offer this feature?

Well, the good news is that Ascendant Studios has indeed added this feature in Immortals of Aveum for the players. However, this feature is only available for PC players as of now. If you’re on PS5 or Xbox Series X/S, you won’t get the privilege to change your in-game FOV. The reason behind this can be related to performance issues, but we don’t really know for sure. So, to avoid such situations, most game developers don’t offer the FoV slider in the game’s console version. On PC, however, you need to head to the Options menu of IOA and locate the Graphics Settings section. Here, you will find the Field of View option. Now, you can alter the FoV slider and play the game at your preferred settings. Adjust the FoV accordingly, and you’re good to go.

Well, this is all that you need to know about how to change FoV in Immortals of Aveum. If you enjoyed reading this article, keep visiting DigiStatement for more such gaming-related content.
