Minecraft is one of the immersive multiplayer games that are best enjoyed by having friends around. You can do all sorts of stuff like creating your own world, gathering supplies, and partake in other activities like PvP, etc. However, having too many toxic friends that you don’t interact with or those who are toxic ruins the game, and unfriending is the only option. Luckily Minecraft allows multiple ways that you can shut that annoying friend for good. Things like unfriending, blocking, or muting work very well and we’ll be guiding you on every one of them. Unfriending random players is also mandatory to keep the friend list uncluttered and easy to add those with who you actually play the game. To keep the community alive, removing rude players is vital as it can spoil the mood. With that being said, check out how to unfriend people.

How to unfriend players in Minecraft

If you want to unfriend players in Minecraft, we’ve mentioned all the steps that you can follow below to do so.

1) In the title screen of Minecraft, click on Play and then click on “Friends Tab”.

2) In the Friends tab, you’ll see the list of all your friends added to your server.

3) Type the friend’s Gamertag that you wish to unfriend and press Enter button.

4) Go to their profile and scroll down until you see the “Unfriend” option and select it.

Keep in mind that this method only works for PC, Bedrock, and Pocket editions of the game. Also, it is not a permanent solution as they can add you back, and blocking them is what prevents them from interacting with you again.

How to block players in Minecraft

1) In your friend’s tab, type the Gamertag of your friend that you wish to block and go to their profile

2) Scroll down until you see the “Block” option, select it and they’ll be blocked for good.

There are times when blocking or unfriending doesn’t work, in that case, you can mute them. The option is located next to the “Block” option. If you find that Minecraft friend giving death threats, or abusing other players, reporting them is the best way to go.
