How to start or turn on PS5 with phone (Android or iOS)

PlayStation 5 is one of the top-performing gaming consoles present in the world right now. It is the ninth-generation video game console that shares the stage with Xbox Series X|S. PlayStation 5 is the successor of PlayStation 4 and is famous for its high-end gaming performance with the latest technology features. Speaking of its, sales, the console has surpassed its predecessor, PlayStation 4, with more than 8 million units of product shipments.

Sony has kept convenience and performance its priority while manufacturing PlayStation 5. Talking about convenience, there is a feature available in PlayStation 5 from which you can turn it on easily with the help of your mobile phone. How to turn PS5 on with mobile?

PS5

Turning on PS5 with your mobile phone is quite easy. You can perform these steps from an Android and iOS type of mobile device. So, follow these simple steps to do so:

  1. Firstly, make sure that you have the “PlayStation App” downloaded on your mobile device. You can easily download it from the Play Store or App Store. After downloading this application, make sure to connect your mobile device to the same WiFi network as PS5. 
  2. Open PS App and tap on the “controller icon” present as the second last option in the tray at the bottom.
  3. Here, under the “Played” category select any game that you have played and tap on its icon.
  4. After that, you will see an option saying “Play on Console”. Tap on it.
  5. Now, you will see that it is showing, “Connecting to your Console”. Simultaneously, you will experience a beep on your PS5 and it will turn on from the rest mode.

Note: Your mobile device must be linked to your console to perform this method, and obviously, your console must be in the rest mode so that you could start it.
