People usually build a high-end PC for a better gaming experience. It is a very common practice to alter the default feature values for gaming benefits. At times, it is really difficult to navigate to separate places to check simple stats like GPU usage, overclocking frequency, etc. Today, you will learn how to set up MSI afterburner to easily keep track of all the things.

You need to correctly follow the steps mentioned below to set up the MSI software.

  • You need to download the MSI Afterburner from the website – Download Link
  • On the website, click on Download Afterburner. This will download a zip folder on your system.
  • Extract the file in your desired directory.
  • Once you have extracted the setup file, right-click on it. Click on run as administrator and then click on yes.
  • This will launch the afterburner installation process.

The steps while installing the software are pretty simple. You have to select the language and click on next. Accept the privacy terms to proceed. On the select products page, you can also install Rivatuner. It is optional software but pretty useful. It will display the components’ stats like Ram usage, processor frequency, and FPS in real-time while gaming. So, you can easily locate what is affecting your gaming performance.

After this, click on next to select the installation directory. After this, just proceed further to begin the installation process. It will also run the Rivatuner setup. So, finish this and then launch the Afterburner.

In the Afterburner window, open up the general settings. Check the box run on start. This will start up the software once you power on your computer. You will have easy access to it. Now, navigate to Monitoring. Check all the properties that you wish to monitor. Remember to check the Frame rate so that you can see it on-screen.

Under GPU usage, you will see the option for an on-screen display. Ensure to check it to see the features that you have selected. When everything is done, click on OK to apply the changes.

There are a lot of other options that you can play around with. MSI Afterburner is a great tool that will help you identify any issue that hinders your experience.
