The steps to put your PlayStation 4 controller into a Bluetooth pairing mode is pretty simple.

  1. First and foremost, you have to simply press the PS button to turn the controller on.
  2. Next up, you have to press and hold down the PS button as well as the Share button on the controller at the same time.
  3. Then, you have to wait for the light bar on the controller to start blinking as well as flashing. This means that the PlayStation 4 controller is ready to pair.
  4. Then, you have to simply go into the Bluetooth settings of your devices and pair the controller.

Pair with your PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 –

  1. On the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5, you have to go to the home screen. Then, you have to scroll to Settings.
  2. In the PlayStation console’s settings, you have to Scroll down to Devices and select Bluetooth Devices.
  3. Now, you have to find the name of the PlayStation 4 controller under Bluetooth Devices. You have to select the controller and choose Yes when the prompt to register the controller shows up.

Pair with your Phone –

  1. Firstly, you have to simply turn on your phone’s Bluetooth.
  2. Next up, you have to go to your phone’s Bluetooth settings and scan for devices.
  3. Finally, you can simply pair it with the PlayStation 4 controller once it shows up.

Pair with your PC –

  1. Firstly, you have to simply go to the Windows Settings and navigate to Devices.
  2. Then, you have to go to Bluetooth & other devices. After doing so, you can now select Add Bluetooth or other devices and hit scan for devices.
  3. After the PlayStation 4 controller shows up, you can click on the pair option to start using the controller on your PC.
