Monster Hunter has lived up to the expectation of gamers. The graphics, concept of loots, and the surreal atmosphere of battle have given the players quite the adrenaline rush. Now, Capcom is getting ready for the Monster Hunter Rise PC release.

The Rise is a successor of the Monster Hunter World. The former was released in 2018 for gaming consoles like PlayStation and Xbox. The x86 architectural design was helpful in releasing the PC version in mere 6 months. However, the issue with Monster Hunter Rise is not the same. Considering the factors, it is certain that the game is set to release for PC/Laptop in early 2022.

The game was originally released for Nintendo Switch. It is well optimized for 720p and 1080p in the handheld console. To launch the game for the PC version is quite a feat. Capcom has to work on the game code as a whole to meet the specifications of today’s gaming computers.

The game is built on Capcom’s RE Engine. The same engine was used to design popular games like the sequels of Resident Evil. RE engine is a very adaptable engine for future PC releases. This could be a deciding factor for the lessened delay of its release.

What to expect from Monster Hunter Rise ?

From the conferences in November 2020, we can say that Rise will be already compatible with the upcoming gaming customizations in terms of hardware. The frame rates and the resolution has to be well treated as well due to the trend of 144 Hz powerful monitors. The leaks found from trusted sources can also confirm that we can expect quite an upgrade in terms of the graphical interface.

Keeping in mind the V-sync options and anisotropic filtering, Rise developers have also been working on texture aliasing and infinite display monitor adaptability. It is rumored that the PC version will also have the 21:9 ultrawide support.

Alternate option

There is an alternate option if you don’t want to wait for the actual release. Use the Ryujinx emulator to run Monster Hunt on PC. To get started, follow the steps mentioned below:

  • Go to the Ryujinx website to get the emulator for your system.
  • Once downloaded, extract the publish zip file.
  • Now, locate the Ryujinx.exe file and run it.

Install the Keys and Firmware

Once you are ready with this, now it’s time to get the Monster Hunt Rise. To play a game on Ryujinx, you will need the keys file of the game and the internal switch firmware.

  • Once you open the Ryujinx.exe file, you will be shown an error – Keys not found. Click on OK
  • Navigate to the Ryujinx folder and then to the system folder. Paste your Monster Hunt Rise prod.keys file here.
  • Close and reopen the Ryujinx file to get your keys validated.

Now it’s time to install the internal switch firmware.

  • Once you reopen the Ryukinx emulator, the initial Keys not found error should be gone.
  • Click on tools and then on Install firmware.
  • Now click on Install a firmware from XCI or ZIP
  • Using the choose firmware window, navigate to the location where you have the firmware file.
  • Click on ok to start installing the Firmware.
  • If installed correctly, the firmware version will be shown beside System Version on the bottom right of the screen.

Get the Game!

It’s time to get your game!

  • Click on Options and then on Settings.
  • The General tab opens up for you.
  • Now, type in the exact game directory or select the game directory by clicking on Add. This directory should have the Monster Hunt Rise game file in it.
  • Now, you have added your game to the Ryujinx emulator.
  • All you need to do is Double click on it and play.

It is certain that when this version arrives, gamers will not be disappointed. The wait for Monster Hunter Rise might seem long but it will be worth the while. Keep an eye on the Official Twitter page for more updates
