If you enjoy playing ARK: Survival Evolved on your PC or console, then you’d probably love to know that there’s a mobile version of the game. Developed and published by Studio Wildcard, ARK Mobile is available on iOS and Android devices. The developers have done a great job of creating an engaging gaming experience for mobile gamers. The gameplay dynamics are almost identical, as are the missions. You’ll be playing as a character stranded on the island named ARK, where you will need to survive across the various maps. Even in ARK Mobile, you can claim, tame, and train dinosaurs for survival. Furthermore, you can hatch eggs in the mobile version of the game as well. But do you know how? In this article, we will share details on how to hatch eggs in ARK Mobile.
Hatching eggs in ARK Mobile is an important feature, as you’re going to need these dinosaurs to survive on the island. However, no random egg can be hatched in the game. You can only hatch fertilized eggs, for which you will need to breed the animals. The entire process is explained below.
How to Hatch Eggs in ARK Mobile?
In order to start breeding, you will need one male and one female animal of the same species. You need to put these two animals in an enclosed area and select the Enable Wandering option. This is to ensure that they don’t keep following you. To enable the wandering mode, first tap on the animal. Doing this will make a dinosaur skull button appear on the top left corner of your screen. Tap on this, and from the list of actions, select “Enable wandering”. Once you do this for both animals and put them in an enclosed area, they will start mating.
The mating process doesn’t exactly have a fixed time, so it’s hard to provide exact numbers. However, you will know the animals are mating from the dark red heart that will appear over their heads and the mating progress meter. Once the mating progress meter hits 100%, the female animal will lay an egg that you will be able to collect.
Incubate
In ARK Mobile, you have two ways to incubate these eggs. For beginners, this can be done by lighting campfires and placing the egg in the middle. Different eggs have different incubation temperatures they need to hatch. Consider this when you’re preparing the campfire. For eggs that require more heat to incubate, you might want to light 7–8 campfires. Otherwise, even 4-5 campfires will do the trick. Once you place the egg in the middle of these campfires and light them, the incubation process will start. You will know the eggs are incubating from the incubation meter, which will be set to 100%. With time, this meter will start to decrease, and once it hits 0%, the egg will hatch. Once the baby dinosaur comes out, tap on it and click on the dinosaur skull icon that appears. From here, you can claim the animal and tame it.
However, for players who have crossed level 61, there’s an easier way to incubate eggs. After reaching level 61, you will be able to unlock air conditioners for 21 engram points. Once you acquire an air conditioner, you can simply put the eggs in it and wait until they hatch. The air conditioners can regulate the temperature automatically, so you don’t really have much work to do in this process.
