For some people, it is a very optimal way to play the game as they can get smooth gameplay and land more kills. Some pros who play the game at tournaments even prefer console as their platform and have attested that they have a better experience with 120FPS. How to enable higher FPS on Fortnite?

Once you’re in the game, follow the steps mentioned below to get 120 FPS on Fortnite.

  • Scroll down to the Settings menu and select “Screen and Video”,
  • After that, select “Video and Output” and toggle “Enable 120 Hz Output” to Automatic.
  • Once you’ve done that, go back to “Settings” and select “Saved Data and Game/App Settings”.
  • Select “Game Preset” and select “Performance mode”.
  • Close the game and relaunch it again and in the main menu, press “Options”, scroll down, and select “Settings”.

After following the steps above, you should be able to play Fortnite on 120 FPS on your PS5. Also, make sure that your TV or monitor supports a higher refresh rate preferably 144hz. Now you can go ahead and snuff your opponents out easier.
