How to Fix Copying Add On in Warzone & Modern Warfare when stuck in loop

It has been brought to the notice of Activision that players are facing this error. Every time they start Modern Warfare or Warzone, the copying add-ons error message is constantly displayed. The solutions listed below are applicable when you see “Copying add-on” in Modern Warfare. So, here’s what you can do about it!

1. Cleaning Game Disk

It might sound odd but the corrupt add-ons issue can be due to the game disk. Occasionally, dirt accumulates on the shiny surface of the game disk. This hampers the readability of the optical sensor in the cd drive. Clean the disk with a micro-fiber cloth or any other soft fabric.

2. Power Cycle your Console

This is only applicable for players using the PS. Power cycling the console will reset all the cache files. It is not unlikely that the voluptuous accumulation of cache files is not letting the software properly copy the add-ons.

Head over to the Quick Menu on the PlayStation console. Now, go to Power and click on Turn off Power. This will shut down your console. Once this is done, pull out the power cord from the console. Let it sit idle for around 1 minute. This will reset all the cache and debris files clogging the PlayStation storage.

3. Use PS store

Start the COD: MW or Warzone. Once you are on the screen for three options, press X on the controller. Now, under Options, head over to the General tab. Scroll down to the Game Installs. You will notice that the last three packs on the list will be Campaign pack 1 and 2, and the Special Ops pack. Press X on each of them. This will take you to the Store. Individually download and install all three add-ons.

These solutions will indeed help you to fix the copying add-on files issue. If you still encounter the same error, you can reinstall the game and try it all over again.
