How to fix COD Warzone stuck at "searching for a match" error on PS4, PS5 in 2022

COD Warzone was published by Activision on 10th March 2020. This new take on COD gave the series a much-needed breath of fresh air. The game was received very well at launch. But, in classic COD fashion, it has its fair share of bugs, glitches, and balancing issues. Some guns were extremely broken at launch, almost to the point where you could wipe a whole squad with one clip. Over the years, the game has done well in taking care of its balancing issues though there is still a lot of room for improvement in the bug department. But, one glaring issue that has been continuously haunting fans is the infamous stuck at “searching for a match” error in COD Warzone.

PS4 and PS5 players have been complaining about this issue for quite some time now. And since the developers have been unusually silent about these issues, we’ve taken the liberty of compiling a possible list of solutions for you. So let’s jump straight into it

If you’re one of the unlucky players who have been stuck with this issue then just follow along for some possible fixes.

Check server status

COD servers being down could be a very obvious cause for this issue. So, it is very important to make sure that the servers are up and running. To do so, simply check COD’s official website or Official Twitter for their server status.

If the servers are down just wait for them to come online and try again, and if they’re not down, continue reading for additional solutions.

Restart your game

This is the most foolproof way to fix any issue in most games. To do this, simply quit your game and exit BattleNET. Relaunch the game and check whether the issue still persists.

Make sure Crossplay is enabled

There is a chance that this might not be an error at all. Sometimes due to high traffic, games can take a large amount of time to find you a match. To make it easier for the game to find you a match it is highly recommended that you only queue up with Crossplay enabled.

Conclusion

Currently, these are the safest and simplest methods we have to solve this issue. If your problem hasn’t been dealt with, consider contacting customer support. Visit Digistatement for more COD news. We hope this article was helpful to you.
