May has begun which means arrival of new species of various critters in Animal Crossing New Horizons. Rosalia Batesi is one of the bugs which are now available in the Northern Hemisphere and players must be looking to catch it to complete the bug section of critterpedia.
How to Catch Rosalia Batesi In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Rosalia Batesi is available for five months in Northern Hemisphere from May to September while Southern Hemisphere players can catch it from November to March.

Players can catch the bug anytime, but it will appear only on the tree stumps. Type of the tree doesn’t matter, just cut down using any Axe except the Stone Axe. Since the bug doesn’t share its spawn with other species, players won’t be able to see it if other species appear in stumps. Then, look out from 7 PM to 4 AM. During this time spawn rate of common species like butterflies remains less.
To increase the chance of encountering the beetle just leave several stumps. When it appears, try to sneak up with the net while holding button A. Try to get close enough to maximize the chance of catching the beetle.
You can also sell Rosalia Batesi to Nook’s cranny for 3000 bells.
