Fortnite is a very popular battle royale game. Likewise, the game always has a very large and active concurrent player base. The game also lets you add friends that you usually play with. Additionally, you can invite or receive invites from your friends too. However, getting invites constantly when you want privacy can become annoying. How to appear offline on Fortnite (PC, Xbox, PS4) in 2022:Fortnite

For PC users:

1) Firstly, click on the three horizontal lines in the main menu of Fortnite.
2) Next, click on the gear icon that is next to your profile name.
3) Now, you will get an option to set your Online Status to AWAY
4) You can set your Party Privacy to PRIVATE
5) Finally, switch the Notify Friends toggle to OFF.
(Additionally, you can also skip sign-in as well as enable offline browsing on PC. You can do this when launching the game from Epic Games Launcher.)

For PS4 users:

1) Firstly, you can press the options button on your controller to open up the game options.
2) Next, select settings and press the triangle button.
3) You can now see a small menu option right next to the icon. Then, press the X button on the Online status.
4) Now, an Online or Away status option appears.
5) You can now select the Away option and press the X button on your controller to select it.
6) Next up, go to the Party Privacy settings and set it to private.
7) Finally, you can turn off the Notify Friends option so that friends do not know when you are online.

For Xbox users:

1) Launch Fortnite and in the main menu, press the options button to open the game options.
2) Next up, highlight the settings option and press the A button.
3) This brings up a small menu option right next to the icon. Then, press the Y button on the Online status.
4) Then, you can select the Away status from the option, and press the A button.
5) Now, go to the Party Privacy settings and set it to Private.
6) Finally, you can avoid notifying friends when you are online by turning off the Notify Friends option.
