Adding the Xbox App-installed Forza Horizon 5 to the Steam Library is quite an easy process. Just follow these steps to do it:
Firstly, you will have to take ownership of the WindowsApps folder as you will not be able to access it. Follow this path: Right-Click on WindowsApps folder > Properties > Security > Advanced.
Click on the Change option in front of the Owner.
Type “Everyone” in the empty box > Check Names > Ok > Check Replace owners on subcontainers and objects > Apply > Ok > Ok.
Now, go to this path again (Right-Click on WindowsApps folder > Properties > Security > Advanced)
Click on Add Button under the Permissions category and click on Select a principal.
Type “Everyone” in the empty box > Check Names > Ok > Check Full Control > Ok > Apply > Ok > Ok
Now, Open Steam and click on Add a Game option in your Library and select Add a Non-Steam Game.
Add explorer.exe by browsing to this location: Local Disk C > Windows > explorer.exe
Once Explorer is added to the Steam, make a right-click on explorer and select Properties.
Click on Browse and select the target game file. (Default location: Local Disk C > Program Files > WindowsApps > Find the Forza Horizon 5 folder and select ForzaHorizon5.exe)
Click on Open and it is done. You can also rename explorer as Forza Horizon 5 and also change its icon according to you.
