Honkai Star Rail: How To Delete Saved Progress

Honkai: Star Rail is here finally after being announced back in 2021. miHoYo continues to put out amazing and top-quality games and with Zenless Zone Zero in the works, it seems like this trend isn’t going to die soon. Star Rail is a sci-fi turn-based RPG game with gacha elements and is also the fourth installment in the Honkai series. Anyways, that being said, many players might be interested to know how to delete their saved progress in the game. Well, the process is easy but time-consuming. For more details, continue reading.

Deleting saved progress is nothing new when it comes to gacha games. While some do it to start over, there are others who do so for re-rolling purposes. If you happen to even be a teeny bit familiar with the gacha scene, you can guess how important rerolling is for some people. Some gacha games like Epic 7 even allow you to re-roll easily without deleting your saved progress. Sadly, Honkai: Star Rail doesn’t provide any such features. So, if you made bad decisions in your playthrough, or want to reroll, you will have to start fresh.

To delete your saved progress in the game, log in first and then select the icon that resembles a mobile. You will be able to locate it on the top-left corner of the screen. Now, you need to click on the Settings icon on the right side after which there will be five main options displayed – Graphics settings, Sound settings, Language settings, Account settings, and Other settings. For the purpose of this guide, you can safely ignore all other settings except for Account Settings which would be the second last option.

There’s only one sub-option named User Center under Account settings. You just need to click on Go and it will open a whole new window. Here, only three options will be available – Switch account, Link account, and Delete account. You can pretty much guess which one you need to select. On the right side, you will see – Request Account Deletion. Select it. A small window will open, prompting you to read some cautionary sentences. It basically says that after requesting account deletion, your account will be gone once the thirty-day time limit passes. There’s also the caveat that if you happen to log in during the thirty-day period, your account will automatically reject the deletion request.

If you are ok with all that, click on Next. Another new window will open, this time prompting you for security verification. Select Google > Next > the Google account connected with the game > Ok. Congratulations!! You have successfully completed the process. Just wait for thirty days to pass and your account will be deleted.

Well, now you know how to delete your in-game progress in Honkai Star Rail. For more guides like this, don’t forget to bookmark DigiStatement.
