Hogwarts Legacy is an exciting game that immerses players in the magical world. However, some players have experienced major slideshow moments and stutters during cutscenes, which can be frustrating. Fortunately, we’ve gathered some tips and tricks from various sources that may help fix these issues.

Method 1: Install a Mod

The first method to fix the slideshow and stutter issues in Hogwarts Legacy is to install a mod. Here are the steps:

  • Download the mod from the link provided
  • Locate the file in your game directory:
    • “game directory”/Phoenix/Plugins/ChromaSDKPlugin/Binaries/Win64
  • Create a backup of the original file, in case anything goes wrong
  • Replace the original file with the modded file
  • Launch the game and see if the issue has been resolved

Method 2: Use DLSS Swapper

Another method to fix the slideshow and stutter issues in Hogwarts Legacy is to use DLSS Swapper. Here’s how:

  • Download DLSS Swapper from the link provided
  • Replace the old version of DLSS with the new one
  • Restart the game and see if the problem still persists

Method 3: Adjust Engine.ini File

The final method to fix the slideshow and stutter issues in Hogwarts Legacy is to adjust the engine.ini file. Here are the steps:

  • Navigate to the following directory: C:\Users<YOURUSERNAME>\AppData\Local\Hogwarts Legacy\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
  • Here, open the engine.ini file in Notepad
  • You need to add the following lines at the bottom-
    • r.bForceCPUAccessToGPUSkinVerts=True
    • r.GTSyncType=1 r.FinishCurrentFrame=0
    • r.TextureStreaming=1
    • r.Streaming.PoolSize=4096
    • r.Streaming.LimitPoolSizeToVRAM=1
    • [ConsoleVariables]
    • AllowAsyncRenderThreadUpdates=1
    • AllowAsyncRenderThreadUpdatesDuringGamethreadUpdates=1
    • AllowAsyncRenderThreadUpdatesEditor=1

Note: The value for r.Streaming.PoolSize= should be lower than 4096 if you don’t have 12GB VRAM

Save the file and restart the game.

There you have it, three methods to fix the slideshow and stutter issues in Hogwarts Legacy.
