Hogwarts Legacy Missing Component Error on Epic Games: Is there any fix yet

Many Hogwarts Legacy players who bought the game via Epic Games Store have come across the “Missing Component” error which shows the following message-“The following components(s) are required to run this program Microsoft C++ Runtime”. This error does not allow the game to launch. Since most people don’t know much about this issue, they are unable to fix it. This is a big problem because Hogwarts Legacy is one of the most anticipated games of 2023. But, it is also quite normal to run into these types of errors while playing the early access version of the game. So, if you are also looking for a solution, then you have come to the right place.

Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world RPG that allows you to delve deeper into the wizarding world. Players will get to roam around Hogwarts Castle and also visit the Hogsmeade Village as well the Forbidden Forest. You will also need to attend magic classes to learn a variety of spells. The game also has tons of Accessibility features that players can make use of. The devs at Avalanche Software and WB Games have shared the solution to this issue. They have recommended players simply download the missing components mentioned in the error which is the Microsoft C++ Runtime. So, download this file from the official website of Microsoft via this link. You can also try some other methods to ensure that the issue is not at your end. So firstly, restart your PC and then launch the Epic Games Launcher.

If that didn’t fix the issue, log out of your Epic Games account and then log back in. Clear the Cache and the Temp folder and then try launching Hogwarts Legacy. Now, if the error code suggests that there is another component missing, then search for the downloadable files on the internet and install them. Once you install the new files, quickly reboot your PC and then launch the game. Well, this brings us to the end of this article. Stay tuned to Digi Statement for more such gaming guides.
