Hogwarts Legacy: How to unlock Animal Puzzle Doors

Hogwarts Legacy was received quite well, being an open-world action role-playing game. The game, set in the 1800s, lets players experience life as a student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and explore the magical world in a new and exciting way. One of the many exciting features of the game is the animal puzzle doors, which are scattered throughout Hogwarts and its surrounding areas. However, to move ahead in Hogwarts Legacy, players who are willing to open the Animal Puzzle Doors must know how to unlock them. Naturally, the puzzles seem a bit hard at the start but once you get a hold of them, they are a piece of cake. So, continue reading to know how to unlock the Animal Puzzle Doors in Hogwarts Legacy.

Hogwarts Legacy: How to unlock Animal Puzzle Doors

Step 1: Locate the Animal Puzzle Door

To start unlocking an animal puzzle door, you must first find one. These doors can be found throughout Hogwarts and its surrounding areas and are marked by an animal symbol on the door. The symbols can vary, but some of the most common ones include a snake, a dragon, a stag, and a lion.

Step 2: Solve the Puzzle

The puzzle is triangular in shape with a circle in between. There is one symbol, one number, and one question mark at the edges of the triangle. Each symbol on the door has a specific numerical value starting from 0 and ending at 9 in clockwise order.

At the center of the triangle, there is a circle with a number that is the sum of all the three edges of the circle i.e., one number which is already given, one symbol which has its unique value, and one unknown number which is the missing piece of the puzzle. You have to find the value of that missing number which will add up to the number mentioned in the puzzle.

These are the following values of the symbols:

  • 0 – Demiguise
  • 1 – Unicorn
  • 2 – Graphorn
  • 3 – Runespoor
  • 4 – Fwooper
  • 5 – Quintaped
  • 6 – Salamander
  • 7 – A Marmite
  • 8- Giant Spider
  • 9 – Hydra

For example, if there is the number 20 inside the circle and one number 10 is given on one edge of the triangle with a Unicorn’s symbol at the other edge, you will have to add the numerical value of the unicorn with 10. Since the addition will result in the number 11, you will need 9 to complete the sum which will ultimately be equal to 20. Now, as the Hydra has a numerical value of 9, you will have to roll the dice near the door until the symbol of Hydra appears on it. After that, solve the second puzzle by following the same steps and the total door puzzle will be solved. Here’s a representation of the same-

“Given number(10)”+”Symbol(Unicorn)”+”?”=”Final value(20)”

An Open prompt will appear on the door once the puzzle is solved and you can enter and explore the treasure that lies inside. If you find this article informative, do not forget to keep visiting DigiStatement for more.
