Although there is currently no official hotfix for this error, there are some other methods that might help you out. We have mentioned all of them below. You should go through them one by one and check which one works out for you.

1) Reboot your system-

It is possible that your PC failed to start properly. In these situations, you might encounter all sorts of issues. But, a simple reboot will fix most of the problems. Once you do this, try launching Hogwarts Legacy and check if the issue persists.

2) Verify the game files-

Another reason why the game might be throwing this error is bad or corrupt game files. This is a common occurrence but can be resolved easily. So, all you have to do is follow some simple instructions.

  • Launch the Steam Client.
  • Head over to Library.
  • Right-click on Hogwarts Legacy.
  • Select Properties.
  • Go to the Local Files tab.
  • Click on the Verify integrity of the game files option.
  • Restart Steam and your PC once the process is complete.

3) Run the game as an administrator-

It is possible that you might have encountered the Corrupt Disk error because the game does not have enough permission to run on your PC. So, right-click Hogwarts Legacy’s launch icon and then select the Run as Administrator option.

4) Repair the Library folder-

Since most people encountered this issue when launching Hogwarts Legacy through Steam, you can try repairing the Library folder. This is where Steam stores all your games. To repair this folder, launch Steam and then go to Settings. Now, head over to Downloads and then click on the Steam Library Folders tab. Next, click on the three dots and then click on the Repair Folder option. Wait for the process to complete and then try launching Hogwarts Legacy.

5) Diagnose and repair your disk-

This is one of the most obvious methods to resolve the Corrupt Disk error in Hogwarts Legacy. You can diagnose and repair your Hard Disk/SSd to fix this issue. To do this, type Computer Management in the Start menu. Next, click on the first result.

  • Now, go to the Disk Management tab.
  • Next, select the Action tab, and choose the Re-scan Disks option.
  • Then, select the disk where Steam downloads and installs all the games.
  • Right-click on the Volume and then click on Properties.
  • Go to the Tools tab and then click on the Check option under the Error Checking tab.
  • You can also click on the Optimize option to further Optimize and defragment the drive to make it run smoothly.

6) Reinstall the game-

If nothing else works out for you, then your last bet is to reinstall Hogwarts Legacy. This method should fix most of the issues. So, uninstall the game on your PC and do a clean installation. Then, launch the game and check if the issue persists.
